Send us your menu. We build your ordering site.

Your own web address, your own prices. The order lands on a screen in your kitchen, and we keep texting your phones until someone says they have it.

Have us set it up

One photo of your menu is enough to start. A person reads it and replies within one business day. No sales call unless you ask for one.

No commission on your orders. Nothing added to what your customer pays. You get the price on the first call, before we build anything.

The argument

The first order and the tenth order

One customer. Twelve orders in a year, thirty dollars each.

On DoorDash Premier in Canada that is 29%. It costs you $8.70 an order and $104.40 over the year.

The first $8.70 bought you a customer you did not have. The other $95.70 bought eleven more orders from a customer who already knew your name.

The 29% is not markup. Most of it pays the driver, the insurance on that driver, the card fees and the refunds. In its most recent quarter, DoorDash kept about 13 cents of every dollar moving through the marketplace. Its net income was around 0.7% of that volume.

If nobody in your city knows your name yet, that is a fair price for what it does. It is a bad price for your Friday regulars.

Pay to be found once. Do not pay to be found again on the tenth order.

DoorDash Canada published merchant rates, checked 5 August 2026. Take rate and net income from DoorDash's Q4 and full-year 2025 results, 18 February 2026.

The machine

What happens when an order comes in

An order placed with you reaches your kitchen. That is the whole job.

  1. 1. It is written down. The order goes into the database before we try to tell anybody about it. A dead phone line or a dark screen cannot lose it.
  2. 2. Your phones get a text. Every new order texts the numbers you choose, for that location. You change the list yourself.
  3. 3. It shows on the kitchen screen, and it makes noise. The tablet has an alarm and it keeps sounding until a person taps to say they have it. The screen stays awake by itself so it does not sleep in the middle of a rush.
  4. 4. If nobody answers, we text again. The wait doubles each time. You set the first wait and how many tries, per location. Change it in the middle of service and the orders already sitting there follow the new setting.
  5. 5. If your store still never answers, we get told. An alert lands on our side, not yours. Somebody here finds out that your Tuesday order went unanswered.

When the software does not know something, it shows nothing rather than a guess. If you have not told us how long your kitchen takes, your customer sees no ready time at all. A number with nothing behind it is worse than no number.

The kitchen screen prints to a thermal printer on your counter. It runs in a browser on a tablet you already have. Orders survive a restart, a crash and a deploy on our side.

Limits

Read this before you fill anything in

  • Your customers pay at the door. An order placed on your site is paid in cash on pickup, or in cash when your driver arrives. It is the same as a phone order, without the phone call. If you need the money collected before the food leaves, we cannot do that yet.
  • We do not bring you customers. No app, no directory, no listing, no ads. When somebody in your city opens a food app tonight looking for dinner, we do nothing for you. That is what the 20% to 29% buys, and for a stranger it is worth paying. Keep your apps. The one free thing that helps most is putting your own ordering link on your Google Business Profile, and Google's help page shows you how.
  • We do not deliver. We take delivery orders and price them by postal code. Your driver drives.
  • We do not talk to your POS. If you run Toast, Square or Clover, our kitchen screen is a second screen on your counter. You should know that now, not on day one.
  • There are no sales reports. No revenue chart, no order counts, no best sellers, no export button. Tonight's orders live on the kitchen screen. Ask us for your order history and we will send it to you.
  • We have no French version. If you need a French menu for Quebec, we cannot do that yet.
  • If you opened last month, wait. With no regulars and under a couple hundred orders a month, the apps are doing more for you than we would.

Price

What this costs

We do not have a published price yet, and we are not hiding one behind the form.

We built the software before we set a price for it. The fee model is a decision the business has not made. Putting a number here that we would revise in a month is worse than saying that plainly.

Three things we commit to now:

  • Never a percentage of your sales. No commission per order.
  • Never a fee your customer pays. No 5% order-support fee, no dollar a ticket. Your menu price, plus tax, plus the delivery fee you set. Nothing added at checkout that you did not put there.
  • Never paid placement. We do not rank restaurants and we do not sell visibility.

You get the number on the first call, before we touch your menu and before you have agreed to anything. If it does not make sense at your volume, we will say so on that call.

Onboarding

What we need from you

A photo of your menu. A PDF, a printed sheet on the counter, or a link to the site you have now. Whatever you already have is fine.

Your hours, your addresses, and the phone numbers that should get the text when an order comes in. Your logo and your colours, if you have them on hand.

Then we put it in for you. Every item, every size and every price.

A person here checks it against your menu, and then you check it. You look at it before anybody outside can see it, and nothing goes public until you say so.

Ten minutes of your time to send us the menu, then an hour or so to check our work. That is your side of it.

Your menu is the slow part, and today that is usually a few days. Once it is in and you have checked it, the site goes up that day.

We are not going to tell you a day. A pizza menu with 120 items is 450 to 600 separate prices once you count the sizes. An experienced person takes about six hours to key one in cleanly. That is our own measurement of our own work. It is why we do it and you do not.

Your name on it

Your domain stays registered in your name. Your web address keeps working and points at the new pages. Your Google listing stays yours.

The page addresses underneath it change, so anything Google has indexed below your home page moves. Tell us which of those pages matter and we will match them.

If you do not own a web address yet, we will get you one and put it in your name. Not ours.

You change your own prices. There is a screen for your items, your categories, your pizza sizes and toppings, your hours and your delivery areas. Edit as much as you like and press publish once, so your customers never see a half-changed menu.

Every change is logged with who made it and when. Every version you publish is kept.

Proof

Our demo store

Cedar + Stone Pizza Co. is our own demo store. It is not a customer. We have no restaurants to show you yet, and a made-up testimonial is not worth your time.

Open it on your phone. Read the menu, build a pizza, put toppings on half of it and watch the price change. That is what your customers would see, in your colours, with your prices.

Do not try to place the order. The last step texts a code to the customer's phone to check the number is real. Those texts are not switched on for the demo, so you would get stuck there.

Arithmetic

What the apps cost you in a year

At 60 orders a week at $30, at 25%, the apps take $23,400 a year. If half are customers ordering from you again, $11,700 of that is the cost of reaching people who already know your name.

A year on the apps, at 60 orders a week
Orders a week 60
Average order $30.00
Rate 25%
A week $450.00
A month $1,950.00
A year $23,400.00
Of that, repeat orders $11,700.00
This is not a saving

This is the size of the number, not a saving. You would still pay a courier. DoorDash Drive is CA$6.99 to CA$10.99 a delivery in Canada. You would still pay the card fees on the cards you take at the counter. And you would pay us. Some of those diners found you on the app in the first place, and that first order is what the commission is for.

What each one charges in Canada
Per delivery order on a CA$30 subtotal, before tax and tip
Plan Delivery Pickup At $30, delivery
DoorDash Basic 20% 10% $6.00
DoorDash Plus 25% 8% $7.50
DoorDash Premier 29% 8% $8.70
Uber Eats Lite 20% 10% $6.00
Uber Eats Premium 30% 10% $9.00
Uber Eats self-delivery 15% 10% $4.50
SkipTheDishes not published not published

Those two are cheap and we are not going to pretend otherwise. They are a storefront run by the company whose app is bidding for the same order. Your menu, your web address and your customer sit inside it, on terms they set.

Oracle stopped taking new GloriaFood signups and set the shutdown for 30 April 2027. The restaurants on it have until then to move their menu, their order history and their ordering link somewhere else.

Rates checked 5 August 2026, from each company's own published Canadian merchant pricing page. These are published rate cards. Above roughly 200 orders a week the rate is negotiable, so yours may differ. SkipTheDishes does not publish a merchant rate card. We are not going to estimate one.

Questions

Questions

What does this cost me every month?

We have not set a price yet, and there is not one hidden behind the form. You get the number on the first call, in writing, before we touch your menu. It will never be a percentage of your sales and never a fee added to what your customer pays. If it does not make sense at your volume, we will tell you that on the call.

Am I signing a contract? How do I cancel?

We have not written those terms yet, so we are not going to print a promise about them here. You see them in writing before any work starts. Nothing is signed before that, so if they do not work for you, the whole thing has cost you one phone call.

Whose name is the web address in, mine or yours?

Yours. You register it, or you keep the one you have, and it stays in your name. You point it at us with one setting at your domain company and we set up the certificate. If you leave, you change that one setting back and the address is still yours.

I am on the first page of Google. Will that change?

Your web address keeps working and points at the new pages. The page addresses underneath it change, so anything Google has indexed below your home page moves. Tell us which of those pages matter and we will match them.

Your Google listing is yours and we do not touch it. Your pages come with a sitemap, correct page titles, and the structured data Google reads for a menu and for opening hours.

We do not do search marketing. No keyword work, no content, no links, no managing your Google listing. We ship the technical part correctly and that is the whole claim.

Does this work with my POS?

No. We do not connect to Toast, Square, Clover or anything else. Our kitchen screen is its own screen, so if you keep your current till, that is two screens on your counter. If that stops you, say so on the first call. We will not take up your afternoon.

What happens if the screen goes down in the middle of service?

The order is written down before anything else, so it is not lost. If nobody taps to say they have it, we keep texting your phones. If your store still never answers, an alert reaches us and somebody here sees it.

Write to hello@restaurantweb.ca and a person answers. There is no support phone line today.

Can my customers pay by card on the site?

No. They order online and pay cash at pickup or at the door, the same as a phone order. Card payment is not built and we will not pretend otherwise. If you need the money collected before the food leaves, we are not the right fit today.

Do my customers have to download an app or make an account?

No, and no. It opens in the browser they already have. They enter their phone number, we text a code to check the number is theirs, and that is the whole sign-in. Next time they order, their past orders are there and they reorder in one tap.

Do I need a new tablet, printer or terminal?

No new terminal. The kitchen screen runs in a web browser, so an iPad or an Android tablet you already own will do. Add it to the home screen like an app. It holds the screen awake so it does not go dark in the middle of a rush.

For printed tickets you need a network thermal printer. Adding it to the tablet is one setup step, and we walk you through it once.

Do you do the delivery?

No. We take the delivery order and check the address against the areas you set by postal code. Then we add the fee you chose for that area. Your driver drives. There is no courier network here and no driver tracking.

What do you need from me, and how long does this take?

A photo of your menu, your hours, your addresses, and the phone numbers that should get the order text. Ten minutes of your time to send it, then an hour or so to check our work.

Your menu is the slow part, and today that usually takes a few days. Once it is in and you have checked it, the site goes up that day. We are not going to promise you a day, because we do not hit a day.

Can I change my own prices, or do I have to call you?

You change them yourself. There is a screen for your items, categories, photos, pizza sizes and toppings, hours, and delivery areas. Change as much as you want and press publish once, so nobody sees a half-edited menu. Every change is recorded with who made it and when.
